Getting Past Your Past

“Apologizing To Those you’ve Hurt”

Matthew 5:23-24; Matthew 5:9

Peacekeepers often avoid confrontation to keep peace.

Peacemakers embrace confrontation to make peace.

Peacemaking points:

  • The greatest enemy to peacemaking is pride.
  • The greatest friend to peacemaking is humility.

Apologizing with Integrity:

Admit to specific actions and attitude.

Don’t make excuses.

Accept the consequences.

Change your behavior.

Ask for forgiveness.

“Apologizing To Those You’ve Hurt”

Many people have found themselves guilty of lying, disappointing, betraying or hurting someone in some way?  A lot of times we are more hesitant to admit that we are the offender.   Today I want to share from the Bible about what we must do when we are the person who has
hurt or wronged someone else?
