Why a Pastor’s blog?

I am pleased to present my first blog for the ReyNaz Website.

All of you know me primarily by way of hearing me preach on Sundays, teach on Wednesdays, conduct weddings and funerals as well as multiple meetings and events.

But this is not all of who I am.Ā  I am more than a collection of ideas that I share on a given Sunday.Ā  I’m a husband to a remarkable woman and a father to two very interesting boys.Ā  I love to play golf even if it’s the worst golf I ever played.Ā  I love to watch a good college football game and fall asleep to a PGA tournament.

I love a good (bold) cup of coffee that always tastes better when shared with friends and laughter.Ā  These are just a few things that are part of the make-up of the man that pastors Reynoldsburg Nazarene.Ā  So I guess I’d like this blog to be an avenue for you to be able to look into the windows of my personality and see glimpses of the human side of my life.

I hope this will be valuable to you, not because I’m so extraordinary, but because leadership is more than the words I say in a meeting.Ā  I believe it is very important for a leader to be transparent with those whom he leads.

So, hope you enjoy the future posts and it helps you better know the man within the man you call ā€œpastorā€.

Marty
